When will my item be delivered?

The delivery of the shipment usually takes place within 1-2 working days after receipt of the order for a shipment to Germany.

Shipments to other European countries take about 5-7 working days.
In the shipping confirmation, which you received from us by mail, you will find a tracking number with which you can track the shipment.

What costs will I incur when returning an item?

When using our return label, we charge 5.90€ in Austria.

We ask you to take advantage of this offer, as no refund of return costs can be made for self-franked packages.

The return period is 14 days! After that, it is no longer possible to create a return label! A return is then no longer possible!

How do I get a return label?

Do you want to return one or more products from your order to us? Here you can initiate a return for individual products in your order. We are very sorry that you want to return your leather favorite. However, we are happy to assist you.

Please note that items with engraving cannot be returned, as there is no right of withdrawal.

How can I exchange an ordered item?

Unfortunately, we do not offer exchanges. If a product is not satisfactory or similar, it can of course be returned. After receiving the return, we will refund the purchase amount. Meanwhile, the correct product can be ordered again. This way, there is no waiting time until the return has been processed by us. Unfortunately, it is not possible to offset amounts from different orders.

Can I return items from the same order that were split into multiple deliveries in one package?

Very gladly. In this case, please fill out all return forms for the respective order number and include them with the return.

How do I receive the credit for my return?

We refund the money within 14 working days after receiving the return. If there are delays in individual cases, we ask for your understanding. To speed up this process, please always ensure that your data is correctly and completely entered on the return form. With DHL, returns are often first collected in their depots and then only returned to the recipient. This can also lead to delays in the refund.

The refund is made via the payment method you chose when placing the order.

Where can I find the account details for invoice payment?

You can find the account details on your invoice in the attachment of the shipping confirmation email.

Please be sure to include your purpose (for prepayment) or the reference number (for purchase on account) with the transfer, so that your payment can be assigned without any problems.

How do I pay by invoice?

Klarna Bank AB (publ) handles the payment processing for Gusti Leder GmbH for all purchases with the option "Payment by Invoice." You will receive the invoice along with your items. From the shipping date of your order, you have 14 days to settle the invoice. Purchase by invoice via Klarna is available in the United Kingdom, Sweden, and Denmark.

This is how this payment method works: After you have placed your items in the shopping cart and entered your address, you will proceed to the next step of the payment process. Choose "Purchase by Invoice" and accept the terms and conditions. If this payment method is not available to you, there may be several reasons. When you place an order via "Purchase by Invoice," Klarna conducts an identity and credit check. Three pieces of information are checked: your previous orders via Klarna, the cost of your current order, and information from credit agencies. If the results of this check do not meet Klarna's internal standards, you cannot use this payment method. This, along with other factors, may prevent you from completing your order.

Complaint

How do I report a defective item?

Please report any complaint to customer support and send us pictures of the defect. The case will be reviewed, and usually, a repair by Gusti Leder is suggested. The costs for this are covered by Gusti Leder. If the purchase was made more than 6 months ago or if there is a fault due to improper handling of the product, a service fee may be charged.

Please note that outlet items cannot be claimed. We do not offer repairs for outlet items.

The return of the complaint must be made within one month.

My item was delivered damaged. What now?

Would you still like to keep the item? Then please send us an email at info@gusti-leder.de so that we can arrange a discount with you. If not, we can gladly arrange an exchange.

How do I get a spare part or accessory for my item?

Please contact our customer support with your order number and let us know which item it is and which spare part you beneed. We will then send you one as soon as possible after thorough examination.

How can I redeem my voucher?

You can enter your voucher code in the "Enter voucher code" field at checkout to activate it.

My discount/voucher was not deducted, what can I do?

You can enter your voucher code in the "Enter voucher code" field at checkout to activate it.

How do I know if the voucher was accepted?

If the voucher was accepted, you will see the reduced amount in the shopping cart and in your order confirmation.

Can I redeem vouchers retroactively?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to redeem vouchers retroactively.

Does the correct input of the voucher code (e.g., case sensitivity of letters) matter?

Yes! Enter the code as specified.

Avoid possible confusions (digit 5 with uppercase letter S; digit 0 with uppercase letter O, uppercase letter I with lowercase letter L).

You can delete your personal data and addresses at any time in the customer account.

What can I do about the smell of my leather item?

We are sorry that you noticed an unpleasant smell on our bag.

All Gusti Leder nature products have been tanned purely vegetably (plant-based) and dyed with oil. The smell is a characteristic of this tanning method.

To reduce the smell, regular use of the products helps in the long term. The smell should dissipate within 14 days. A short-term reduction can be achieved by carefully applying leather grease based on beeswax externally. For all items, a pleasant solution can be to initially place a scented sachet inside or use a regular perfume.

How can I protect my leather products from rain?

Rain usually has no effect on the appearance or quality of the leather. The products are oiled again before delivery. This is the best protection. Nevertheless, we advise against exposing bags and leather products to unnecessary moisture.

What can I do to care for my Gusti Leder nature products?

Your Gusti Leder nature products can be treated with beeswax, or alternatively sunflower oil. It is important that all fats are applied evenly and carefully to the leather and then well rubbed in. We recommend testing each care product on an inconspicuous area first. The leather may darken after treatment with fat.

Why does the leather product look different from the product images (appearance, color, shape)?

Our producers are different, small family businesses. This can lead to variations in color, shape, rivet arrangement, and lining. These are leather products that are unique and handmade. The product description additionally points this out for the relevant items. Our items are sometimes slightly different in color because they are traditionally tanned in a vegetable (plant-based) way. When the leather is dyed, it is also done purely plant-based with saffron, poppy, and indigo. Subsequently, the products are greased with vegetable oils. Chrome and similar toxic additives are avoided both in tanning and dyeing. These traditional, vegetable tanning and dyeing processes give our items a unique and lively vintage flair in coloring and feel, which means that an exact color match of the items can never occur and each product looks (slightly) different from the other.

What is the white substance on the surface of my leather item?

In rare cases, white spots can be seen on the Gusti Leder nature products. This is not mold, but tallow (ghee) used by the producers for care. These spots occur because the leather can re-grease. We recommend gently warming the areas and then carefully cleaning them with a microfiber cloth. This allows the leather to better absorb the fat. Subsequently, a suitable care product for the leather can be applied.

My product has holes/scratches, why?

The leather used in Gusti Leder nature products comes from animals that are free-range. This form of husbandry can lead to the animals occasionally getting scratches on their skin caused by bushes or similar. During tanning, small holes or unevenness may occur in these areas. We therefore understand inconspicuous, smaller holes in the leather as a natural and acceptable flaw. We have no influence on the selection of items chosen for shipping, as we work with external shipping service providers. We therefore advise against returning due to this defect.
